Wedding Photography & Film · Central Coast

Wedding coverage rooted in real moments, honest connection, and the feeling of being there.

Documentary photography and cinematic wedding films for couples across San Luis Obispo, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, and the Central Coast. Every wedding is different. The approach stays the same: be present, stay out of the way, and capture what actually happens.

Every wedding is custom-quoted. I take a limited number of weddings each year.

The Approach

Twenty years of standing in front of a classroom taught me how to read a room, settle nervous energy, and get the best out of people without making them feel directed. That's not something you learn behind a camera, it's something you bring to one.

On a wedding day I'd be in the margins for most of it. The getting-ready room. The quiet moment before you walk out. The table where your grandparents have been laughing for twenty minutes and don't know anyone is watching.

That's usually where the photographs that matter come from.

For couples who want a film alongside the photos, I'd build it around your actual day. The vows. The toasts. The moments in between that nobody planned. Edited to feel like a memory rather than a production.

A lot of my background has been in hybrid storytelling through sports, learning how to anticipate emotion, movement, pressure, and real moments as they happen. I love living in both worlds moment by moment, deciding the best way to tell something through motion or through a still frame. I'm equally happy focusing fully on photography or film depending on what best serves the day, and I work well alongside other creatives when needed.

I'm now bringing that same approach into weddings in a way that feels honest and grounded. Still learning, still growing, but deeply committed to creating films and photographs that feel alive years later, not overproduced or forced.

This is the philosophy behind everything I make, Ngā Kōrero Ora, Living Stories. Not manufactured moments. Not polished surfaces. The real thing, documented honestly, so you can return to it years from now and feel like you're actually back there.

A wedding is one of the few days in life where everything that matters is happening at once. I'd show up to pay attention to all of it.

I'm based on the Central Coast, Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, the hills and vineyards around Paso Robles. Available for beaches, ranches, wineries, backyards, and anywhere the light is good and the story is real.

Destination work welcome with the right lead time.
